Ingredients   Get fresh ginger, brown sugar, lemon juice, ale yeast, and water.

 Prepare Ginger   Peel and finely grate the fresh ginger.

Ginger Syrup    Boil the grated ginger with brown sugar to make a ginger syrup.

Cool Ginger Syrup    Let the ginger syrup cool to room temperature.

  Lemon Juice    Add lemon juice for a citrusy flavor.

Mix Ingredients   Put the ginger syrup, lemon juice, and water in a container.

  Add Ale Yeast  Sprinkle ale yeast over the mixture. Stir gently.

 Bottle and Seal    Transfer the fermented mixture into bottles, leaving some space at the top. Seal the bottles.

  Carbonation     Let the bottled mixture carbonate for a few days. Chill and enjoy your homemade alcoholic ginger beer.
